Benja Thermal Baths

The Benja (Bënjë) thermal baths are natural hot springs about 13 km from Përmet, at the mouth of the Langarica Canyon. Warm, mineral-rich water rises beside the stream and collects in open pools, some of them walled in stone, right below the old Ottoman Kadiu Bridge. People come to bathe in the pools all year, and the springs are known locally for their curative properties.

Near the village of Bënjë, about 13 km from Përmet in southern Albania, at the mouth of the Langarica Canyon. Part of Përmet.

How to get there

By road from Përmet. Our Vjosa rafting day trip picks up in Tirana, Durrës or Golem at 07:00 and is thirteen to fourteen hours door to door, with free time in the thermal pools after the rafting. Our 8-day horseback riding tour stops here on day 3.
