- Pickup at 7:00 in Tirana, Durrës or Golem; 13 to 15 hours door to door
Përmet is the slow-food town on the Vjosa, and the rafting base is there: after a safety briefing and instruction the rafts go on the river with an instructor, the equipment is provided, and the rafting itself is the morning's work. The afternoon is the opposite: the thermal springs of Benja, warm pools in the riverbed under the Ottoman Katiu bridge where the Lengarica canyon opens into the Vjosa valley, with free time to soak.
It is a long day because Përmet is far: the vehicle leaves at 7:00 and is back in Tirana, Durrës or Golem thirteen to fourteen hours later. The air-conditioned vehicle, all fees and taxes, the rafting with equipment, the visit of the baths and the guide are included; lunch is free choice in Përmet.
